Basically, all these sites work the same way and are excellent free sources of traffic for most e-commerce sites. - First, for each of them you will need to create a user account and log in to that account. Then, link all of the products on your site. It takes a little time, but the dividends are great! Use good keywords, and take the time to write a personal description where available. This builds other peoples confidence in you and the products. Simple and effective. Don't expect backlinks to be generated from these sites, but they will pull some decent traffic. www.Kaboodle.com www.Wists.com www.ThisNext.com www.WishPot.com www.BoxedUp.com www.RetailFans.com Pretty easy...very effective!! GOOD LUCK!!
No problem! If anyone wants to add to the list, feel free. These are just the sites that I have found to be effective.
penielproducts, do you have a report you can share with us on how these sites have increased your traffic or is this just all hype? not to be a jerk, but there's a lot of people who claim all sorts of things in threads and it just has people running around in circles wondering if it works and how much it works, and who it works best for, and why.
kidsko, The last thing I want to do is lead you guys to believe that I am an SEO/Marketing guru. I have nothing to sell you. I'm just driving my site the best I can, & learning along the way. These sites are all "social shopping" sites. They provide highly targeted traffic that will be based on your keywords and niche. As for my site, we are seeing about 6-8 unique visitors per day from Kaboodle alone. These are not just bounces, but actual shoppers who stay on the site and look around. For the furniture market, that's not too bad! We have just started populating the other site, so we will see how they go. I understand the skepticism...too many spammers here trying to sell the "silver bullet".
Ooooh really good choice of sites there too. This guy is not BS'ing, these are simply social bookmarking websites which apply themselves directly to a specific vertical. This is a good way to get very qualified traffic and nice backlinks if one of your blogs/websites falls in the topic of the sites. But as usual I'm sure you'll have hundreds of idiots submitting crap.
Thanks for the support lbrg. It probably is only a matter of time before it's spammed to death, but it's good traffic until then!
I also highly recommend MyRegistry.com This is another site like WishPot but it seem to have a much larger following. Hope that helps!
I haven't checked these sites out yet, but are these good just for physical products like furniture, or digital products as well, like ebooks?
I have used kaboodle as to bookmark my posts. Thanks for sharing other sites for getting more traffic.
