5 sites on same server = BAD?

it will not be penalized friend my 8 proxies are hosted n the same server and 4 of them is on page#1 on google on the specific keyword..!

 

I have all my sites on the same IP and never had any problems.

 

as the "gurus" said, yes its not good idea have few sites in same server that have same ip

I can see only two unique IPs.

U see Unique IPs are better than Same IPs.. Always. That is a taken whatever Matt Cutts say.
Because today Google might not be using it to discount a link, but eventually it may.

That said, it is subjective and it doesn't mean that you cannot use it all all..

If you are providing a unique service, or creating unique sites which are not spammy why woul google ban you.

If you are not using the same IP for Link Spamming purpose... but because U want to create hundreds of unique sites then why not. U can even use sub domains like about.com and alltop does.

If you are not hiding the fact that you are interlinking, and you might be interlinking for easy navigation purpose, like many blog networks... and If those links are not the only inbound links.. it is just fine...

But since all of us have a little BAD and blackhat streak, we tend to link spam.. so for the likes of those people, better not to leave link prints for BIG G..

Unless warranted for I always buy Resellers or Shared hosts for every new site and don't go for a VPS or dedicated unless traffic demands so....

Always better than safe...

My sites keep ranking and unranking... and I keep learning....

For genuine site networks same IP is just fine...

In fact if one is stupid, then diff IPs would be more suspicious..

eg:

You have 100 different IPs..

On each IP you have 10 different sites on difefrent Niches... making 100 sites each in One niche

Say if you interlink all 100 links in each Niche... All relevant Links... Thousands of links if you do sitewide...

Since you would have 100 sets of IPs interlinking similarly in 10 different niches, GOOGLE will see that as Link FARM... Too Bad...

Link Wisely... Sub Domain, IPs, COntent,.. tomorrow google might even want to track via Adsense Pub ID.. who knows.... There are many footrpints that a site can leave in terms of LINK SCHEMES...

This guy has about 50 sites probably on the same IP that are ranking #1 for certain keywords.... all CROSS-LINKING .... DO-FOLLOW

I dont think you'll be ban for that reason. In fact, in our server, we are running around 40+ doain there! And we didnt banned!

 

Hi, absolutely no problem man because i have more than 500 sites on same server. It mainly depends on the space you have on your server if you overload than your site would go slow..

 

Conclusion of the discussion and my opinion is all same i.e. its just fine to host many sites on same server and to interlink them. The only thing ,you should not do is make clones of websites on same server. Remaining all is open.
