5 Sites by 1 owner linking to eachother -- Can that hurt me?

    Hello all!

I currently have 1 real estate website for condos. I also plan on having a site for boston condo news, and some others as well.

Right now, I have 5 domains, and they're all registered under my name

Should I make them private, and host them on different servers, for the risk of being penalized?

I plan on building these other websites to build more traffic, not for link juice --- however I know link juice will be a benefit

Right now, there are 5 sites coming up in the top 10 on Google for the keywords I am targeting --- and they're all owned by the same person, however it appears they have been registered separately under different names / company names etc.

Will having 5 sites inter-linking to eachother help me for SEO or hurt me for SEO?

    Thanks!!!!

It will help if you do it the right way.
Interlink from internal pages, in-content links preferably ;)

All 5 will be real estate related ------ the thing is, if I registered all 5 under the same name & address, could that be a problem???

Dear my advice for that is that,
whether you have 5 or 10 sites, dont put all sites on a same server if possible...it would be lot beneficial for you...

you can do it but make sure you have diferent whois info and put sites in diferent c class ips as other said. it might cost you more money but it's safer.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. But why take the risk. Even if it's okay now, no one knows what Google will do in the future. It would be much safer to disguise your ownership and also put the sites on different servers. Then you won't have to worry.

There is no proof that the search engines can let alone do look at the whois information. Also, you are required by law to provide the correct information when registering a domain name.

With regards to the ip address, yes hosting them on separate ip addresses and one way linking to internal pages with keyword rich anchor text will benefit your search engine positioning.

If you seperate your IP addresses on each site then the links will look organic and mean more.

away from the topic of link juice, I think you will be providing an excellent benefit to your visitors by providing them so many options. It will pay off in the long run, don't you think?

This is not a good one, Google doesn't like it. You can do it in a better way, like do a cycle, such as A->B->C, or you can have a better thought, but avoid the scenarios like A->B, and B->A ast the same time, this is not encouraged.
