5 Simple WordPress Plugins that will get you Traffic (Part 1) Creating viral traffic for your blog is essential to getting more eyeballs on your site. And we also know that whatever we wanted by creating our websites we need TRAFFIC and yes, as much as we can. As a blogger you will be writing blog at least weekly basis if not daily. Now question comes how we can get traffic maximizing each of the little things we will do on our website. And this time we will use wordpress plugings to help us out. After doing some trial and error I have found the following wordpress plugins will help anyone to increase the traffic or as others call it , daily unique visitors. 1) Sociable: Social bookmarking sites allow web surfers to save, catalog, and share interesting pages they find online. The Sociable plug-in appends links for your readers to use those sites to the end of each of your blog’s posts, increasing your potential audience. You can bookmark to Del.ici.ous/Digg/Blinklist/Furl/Reddit/Fark/Yahoo/MyWeb /Spurl /Simpy /Newsvine /Wists /Blogmarks.This way you can have your blog posts linked to the major social bookmarking websites. 2) Smart Update Pinger: The Smart Update Pinger plugin replaces the standard WordPress build-in ping functionality and makes many improvements to it. This is an auto pinger of your web site. This plug-in will ping your blog when a new post is created (not when an existing post is edited). This is an easy way to let the search engines and other websites know that you have made a change on your blog. 3) Site map Generator: This plug-in creates a sitemap for your WordPress powered site. This is not just another XML sitemap plug-in, but rather a true sitemap generator which is highly customizable from its own options page in the WordPress admin panel. This plug-in format is supported by Ask.com, Google, YAHOO and MSN Search. And those are the major ones that you have to worry about and the rest of the search engines will be feeding off these major SEs. 4) Onlywire: Onlywire is another must have tool for your wordpress website. They have figured out how to very easily bookmark URLs into up to 15 different social bookmarking. All you have to do is signup with those social bookmarking sites and save your user name and password into the onlywire.com and that’s it. Every time you post in your blog they automatically post the link to those social bookmarking websites for you. The truth is may not (at least for me) work for all the social bookmarking sites but only if half of does still you will get plenty of links. And best of all they are all automatic and all you have to do it post and rest is taken care of. Think about it, if you do 5 posts a day then you will 5 x 8 = 40 links with out any extra work. 5) WordPress Super Cache 0.1 Last one friends. Assuming you have heard about dig.com and some point in your life you have used it as well. Personally I am just tired of clicking a link off the Digg front page only to find a crashed or mortally lagged site on the other side. And you can solve the solved the problem once and for all with a plug-in that blows WP-Cache away. WordPress Super Cache 0.1e is an extremely efficient WordPress page caching system to make you site much faster and responsive. It works by caching Worpress pages and storing them in a static file for serving future requests directly from the file rather than loading and compiling the whole PHP code and the building the page from the database. WP-Cache allows to serve hundred of times more pages per second, and to reduce the response time from several tenths of seconds to less than a millisecond. So, in other words you can make your wordpess blog user friendly/faster for your visitors and for the search engines as well. Let’s recap what I have written. Finally keep in mind that this is a numbers game -more the blog posts, more the traffic. All the plugins above will give you a higher probability to getting your site exposed to World Wide Web resulting more traffic/visitors for your website. So, Good Luck with your website and Stay Tuned for the part 2. If you like the post then DIGG it here and it will be highly appreciated. Also as an example i will use one of my new sites which is less then 45 days old. thanks for looking
