Here are just a few tips i posted on my blog: 1. Get linked on your topic from wikipedia or other relevant wikis. 2. Share bookmarks of your main, and some key pages on social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us. 3. Submit your key urls to google sitemaps (decrease listing time of new content from days to hours). 4. Get blogged about and tagged (ask a key client/customer). 5. Start a blog on your domain about your website. These are really over and above typical link swapping and directories. Any comments or questions post away.
Just wondering - how would a blog on your website domain itself help your website search ranking? I've seen a few websites that had this but I don't understand how it helps - other than the fact that new content always helps.
It adds more content, but the content is generally more colloquial and fresh. This helps when people are search for colloquial type phrases (rather than two keywords), ie where can i download free games vs free games.

Hmmm, Easily placed several links in wiki and the administrator took them all off immediately and gave me a warning. You can't place external links to this site that point to commercial or personal sites.
Yeah, can only place if relevant on wikipedia (good for content sites), commercial type sites should look for industry specific wikis.
well for seo, there is organicseo wiki. Just search 'industry'+wiki, however there aren't going to be wiki's for all types of industries.
