4...Maybe a small minority are good for advertisers/publishers, the rest are the cause of suckdom in adsense. 3...While I somewhat agree with this, consider the following: How many oodles of publishers are out there contacting Adsense, it comes down to manpower. 1...Go for it
1. Go for it like Adpubster said. As for not getting unbanned. I have seen people get unbanned before by just explaining it and appealing the case. People just don't try OR they are actually morons and do something to get banned.
They should split adsense and google search into 2 seperate companies. I am sure this will happen someday by the government -- the are closing in on becoming a monopoly.
I think banning arbitrage is a great thing as it will stop people from manipulating the system for their gain.
How can they be monoply when yahoo and MSN both have significant share of the search market. Sure, it may feel like as if they are a monopoly but stats prove otherwise. Also, I think the government should get off their backs. Their interference hampers the incentives of compnaies to be inovative. The givernment think they can get popular by sticking up for the samll guy against the big guy. Well, google is far from big and the all domineering company the government would have use believe. The Justice department should have beetr thaings to do than waste poublic money fighting cases that are deemed not worthwhile by the majority of people.
No they're not. There's still YPN, Clicksor, Bidvertiser, Adcenter, and other programs just like that. A lot of people use Adsense, yes, but that doesn't make them a monopoly. There is too much competition for there to be a monopoly.
The whole advertisment industry is still at the beginning for the internet. The market is not saturated yet. There will be tougher competition and new projects popping up for the years to come. Google sure feels the pressure and they won't be able to get a monopoly over that.
Banning arbitrage is a good action for both advertisers and publishers, lets wait and see the results..
I hate Google [adsense] e-mail support too. They NEVER give you a yes or a no. They say "maybe'. Also, the answer depends on who answers the question. Some people say one thing but then someone else says something else. It's ridiculous.
I've gotten a few yes or no answers from them in the past. Usually of the form: "Your implementation does fit within the TOS of the program" or words to that effect. As to whether or not ALL of them would say that and someone might not say "Your implementation flies in the face of the TOS of the program" I won't comment Disclaimer: I've not, as of yet, received any conflicting advice or answers from them, but I've heard of cases where a person has.
Is it just me, or does it sound like this guy just got banned for doing adsense arbitrage, then tried to contract their support to get back in, but got a slow reply and was rejected anyway, then tried to use his roommates name to get back in the game? lol...maybe its just me...
