if you consider that typing a username and a password (twice) is soooooooo long and difficult process, yes maybe it can be a waste of time for you. As I mentioned in the submit form, there's no verification procedure, just type whatetver you want. Registration is needed because listings belong to you dear submitters, they don't belong to the directory, it wouldn't be fair. You have the right and possibility to modify your listings, change categories, description and etc. I wonder how much time and efforts will you spend if you want to modify the description of your site listed in a directory that doesn't allow this. You'll be writing emails to editors and maybe, I say maybe, they will be willing answering you. But this will waste not only your time but editor's time too. Anyways that's what I think. And to clear things once again, you don't need to verify your email. You don't need to click on activation links and so on. If you're serious about submitting your site to quality directories, you'll notice that actually a line of two more of information isn't that time consumming process, compared to the advantages this brings you back.
