    Hi,

I'm interested in selling my domain - glype.com (registered with godaddy)

I have a few things lined up for it but they should do equally well on another domain. I just need to raise some money at the moment. There is a reserve price but no BIN. Auction ends 10th Jan.

    Starting bid $5.

    Thanks for looking.

    $5 offered

PS. I hate reserve prices, why not simply use the reserve as a starting price?

Because the thread gets bumped more with bids that dont actually count.

Understandable if this would be a high volume broker portal and we're talking about a top notch domain here. But okay, I still hate reserve prices though, normally I don't even consider bidding on such auctions.

The reserve is because, as I mentioned, I have plenty of use for the domain. It's setup, ready and waiting for me - I don't have the hassle of finding another name thats free, getting it registered, etc.

There is a price above which I would definitely sell though because I need to raise some cash fast. Under this price, I may or may not decide to sell - it depends how things go. I don't want to put potential buyers off by asking what may be perceived as too much by starting at the higher reserve price.

I think that's a lot fairer than saying something along the lines of "but I still reserve the right not to sell". Or worse, holding the auction and coming up with some crap excuse to get out of it afterwards.

    EDIT: Ends 10th Jan.
