These are some real great ideas for any company who are in the seed stage. They also work! Just choose 2 out of the 5 and move forward with them. Once you begin to use, these promotional ideas can bring your business the real momentum and drive you to pick two more!!! ---> Network at events. ---> Attend public meetings. ---> Create a "useful" handout. ---> Create joint-ventures. ---> Write letters to editors of local newspapers and business publications. ALL THE BEST!!!
Pretty vague set of tips but thanks for sharing. I hope to employ offline marketing techniques to a couple of my online ventures.
Has anyone gotten results from mailings or postcards? My site sells furniture and I was thinking about some targeted mailings to bed and breakfasts and such. What do you all think? Thanks for any feedback, Matt
those arnt really "No Cost". If you have ever done direct marketing campaigns and printed up "handouts", it is not cheap to get those professionally printed. I have done campaigns for businesses that have ran over 5k minimum up to 35k. And also networking at events there is usually some type of entrance fee to the places as well as travel, how are you going to network with them? Business cards? well there is another expense. I expected No Cost to be more things as far as social bookmarking and article submission since they dont cost a dime to do
Great tips mate, but could you explain "joint-ventures"? More? Do you mean more like "affiliations" and "partnerships"?
I actually just did a post on writing a letter to the editor on my All Freelance Writing on Sunday for this week's writing challenge. Check that out if you're interested in more specifics on how to use them.
