I need to find a statistic about forums - what I specifically need is to know is

What percentage of the population have signed up and used a forum before?​

I will need a reference - so if you find the information, please post the link where you found it. The first one to find a good answer will get $5 paid via paypal.

Maybe it really isn't there - but I find it hard to believe that no-one has done some kind of study. Maybe I'll have to just do my own research...

LOL! I am speaking about people who have internet access, and trying to find out how many of them have signed up to ANY forum before.

Now we have to find the number of "forum users"

So Forum users/internet users = % of internet population.

Hmm.. That is going to take more time than it's worth - to add them all up, but it's not going to be that accurate though - because there is no telling how many members are members at more than one forum...
