Do not know if this has been mentioned yet. But il Add # - Think PR is god, and a high PR means a better site. They put all there effort and money to increase PR, and forget that Content and Traffic is much more important.
What I want to say is that online what we have to use to earn money is words and Newbies mistake number one is thinking that words are not so important it is the links which matter. The truth is there is a science to link placement and copywriting is an art and sales depend on these working together..
Writing down your goals (realistic goals) on paper and working every day to achieve them.If you are new, you should learn the basics of marketing before spending any money online. The best marketing methods are free.
losing focus is key. if you can't focus on something at hand what makes you think you'll ever achieve anything mickey mousing it.
Nice thread. I think the lack of focus too, and their lack of appetite to succeed and eventually make money.
stop procratinating ! Have a daily target ! When you choose something to do go straight to the point don't start thousand things at the same time. Do what is most important and urgent first. Organize your day .... Follow your dream as a main target and don't let anybody ruine it. Do all what you do to bring you closer to your dream and not further... To your success!
This just gave me a little courage about a website I've been working at. Perhaps it will work one day...
I agree with number 1.Advertising is an art in to itself and can be the biggest money pit you'll ever see unless you know how to optimize your strategy.
I think Newbies are sometimes persuaded they can cheat to quick money, traffic, whatever and they believe it and the truth is hard work, time and content is everything
You know, I feel what your saying exactly. I am 8 hours into my private pilots license, and I'm using a substantial amount of online income to pay for it. however, the point that has been made in this thread in the past regarding our 'work ethic' reveals an important truth about personal motivation and integrity perceived by our clients and online piers. We are, in fact, in business to make money, that's how a business operates (hopefully). But, the difference in being motivated by the need to make money, and being in business to serve others in need changes how you approach your work. If we're in it for ourselves alone, then we're not going to be successful. If we're in it to helps others along the way, there's a larger than likely chance that you'll have many happy, repeat customers, and your integrity will be intact at the end of the day. -J
BIG FAT FACT IN THAT POST! 9.9 out of 10 new marketers will have spilled their cash out to some plan that claims to eliminate work, dedication, and time. THERE'S NOT PUSH BUTTON SOLUTION! If you (newbie marketer reading), still believes with your whole heart that there's a solution like this, and you just haven’t found it yet, YOU'RE DESTINED FOR FAILURE. The longer you believe this trash, the further off your success is. Don't sell yourself short and believe that lie. Work is work, but there's reward here that's worth working for! Don't be discouraged, be encouraged that there's good reason to work for it!
I have a list I constructed of daily tasks for operating my business. I've printed it out and posted it above my monitor. I know that this list is something I have to go through every day at some point regardless of other things I'm working on. Some days I don't get through it, other days I'm pretty consistent. I've found that having it visible and written out reminds me of what marketing still needs my attention. My traffic, sales, lists, esteem, all shot up drastically when I created my list and stuck to it religiously. If anyone is interested in seeing my list and obtaining a copy that you can implement to your business, PM me and I'll relinquish it for a 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine' trade. Cheers, -J
I have to agree with this one - a year or so ago I wouldn't have, but I have a tendency to grossly overestimate how much time I have available during the day ...... LOL! ~tasty
Not sticking with it long enough. Most newbies think that IM is easy, but it is not. It takes effort and time just like any other business.
