If you are just starting out in the world of network marketing I'm sure your head is spinning with ideas, and you may be on information overload. Well I want to help you out by introducing you to some terms that you may have heard, but did not really know the meaning here are a few common internet marketing terms that all internet marketing newbies should get familiar with. These are in no certain order, but are essential to understand the internet marketing process and exactly how to make money online. The common internet marketing terms are as follows: Traffic. Traffic is a term commonly used by internet marketers to refer to website visitors. You will hear common phrases such as "traffic building" or "getting more website traffic." These are simply terms that are used to discuss the amount of people who come to a website. Opt-In. Chances are somewhere online you have given your name and email in exchange for a free report or something of that nature. This is what an opt-in is, and it allows you to gather peoples names and email addresses in order to market products to them in the future. When people give you this information they are giving you permission to email them with offers regarding your business. Squeeze Page. This is the page where you opt-in, giving your name and email address. You never want to send someone straight to a sales page, instead send them to a squeeze page. Most internet marketing newbies do not design a squeeze page, and therefore lose a lot of potential customers. List Building. This is when you collect opt-ins to build a list. For example, if you have 10,000 people who have given you there name and email address (opt-in) then you have a list of 10,000 subscribers. You need to email these people valuable information on a daily basis so they will one day buy from you. Autoresponder. This one is self-explanatory, you use this to email your list that we discussed previously. You are not going to want to write 10,000 emails, so an autoresponder is essential for effective email communication with clients. These are five essential terms you must know about to master internet marketing. Internet marketing newbies can get overloaded with too much information, so do not let this happen to you. Hopefully by understanding these common internet marketing terms you can create a good stream of income online in no time.

If you're still offering those templates I'll take one. I'm just learning about squeeze pages. Hope you can answer a few questions for me. How do you get started? I understand the concept but if I don't have emails already made that are good quality what do I do? I am interested in doing this but it seams like a big project or expensive to do it right. Do you just promote affiliate stuff? And doesn't google frown on squeeze pages now? Any tips would be appreciated.

Great post Very useful information for anyone new to this. I knew about traffic, but the rest of those I had sketchy knowledge of at best.
