5 clicks for 11 cents...Could they pay any less?

Just for fun I made a Christmas site that has free clip art images in the hopes of getting some adsense clicks. It's been up for about 3 weeks and I'm getting about 500 page views a day, all from Yahoo searches strangely enough. It gets about 10-20 clicks, but the ads on this site are so low paying it's nuts. I just thought it was funny that i finally made a neat little site, which get some traffic, and the ads don't pay a darn thing.

I think that the CPC will improve once Christmas approches and advertisers will buy more Christmas related keywords. You should also try to get into some affiliate programs that have Christmas products, gifts, etc. There's a bigger chance to earn more.

Beat you to it. I've got a few christmas gifts, ornaments etc. from Shop.com on there too. the site is http://christmasclipart.blogspot.com

I really wasn't expecting to make a killing, but I thought it could make a few bucks during the holiday season...guess not! Oh well, good experiment I guess.

You should also try to change the color of your text. That red is annoying for plain text, and it also masks the google ads links which are also red. And you should concentrate more on content too as you have only 13 posts. Don't be disappointed that it doesn't work as expect, try to experiment continually and you should get it right eventually.

    Good luck!

    It's the niche, it's oversaturated.

Unless an advertiser is directly advertising on your site... expect some low clicks till around christmas.

500 page views a day is not pad rate at all, but you can change the position of the ADS to the very top of your blog....Try it quickly before the crowding of christmas visitors on the internet.

The ads are working well for CTR, I'm not concerned that..it's the eCPM that's lousy. Not much I can do on my end to get that up.
