5 cent average click!

    Wow..

My blog http://selfimprovementhelp.net, that I started to test adsense has some clicks, BUT its ridicoulus how low paying they are.

On average now its 5 cents!

I took a look at the ads displayed and found some that linked to blogs ALSO with ADSENSE! So these guys are trying to do arbitrage.. they were paying 3 cents pr click!

I blocked them in my Adsense filter, but most of my ads seem to still be to sites that promote "FREE" stuff and ebooks, obvioulsy not high paying.

So my question is, how can I improve the quality of ads?

Do I just have to manually block them or can I set a minimum price pr. click?

Will the ads get better with time?

have you checked Google Adwords Keyword tool to see what some self improvement keywords pay?
5 cents is pretty low, and I imagine that something of that nature should do a bit better.

if i were you, i would stop worrying about how low you get per click and concentrate on building up more quality content because THAT you have control over. You don't have control over how much you get per click.

It is not possible to set 5 cents average click in adsense.
It is different rate with different clicks in adsense.
You can change some color in your blog means to attract most of the people in the world to your blog by changing layout and also color combination also.
With more traffic you get more clicks and it may be sometimes higher than 5 cent on an average.

The problem is actually very easily explained..

    Advertiser pays $1.00 to Google

    Google takes $0.60

    Available to Publishers $0.40

If there are 10 publishers who each have their ad clicked then each earns $0.04

If there are 20 publishers who each have their ad clicked then each earns $0.02

If there are 50 publishers who each have their ad clicked then each earns $0.008

If there are 100 publishers who each have their ad clicked then each earns $0.004

Too many publishers = not enough advertising dollars = crap adsenseless income.

    Any more questions????
    :D

The amount I get per click can vary considerably over a period of days, or sometimes even hours. I don't happen to publish much content in high-paying niches, and that fact doesn't overly concern me. If you keep focusing on building quality content, traffic will follow. Dependable, growing traffic is a lot better than bursts of high-paying clicks.

That wont help when advertisers have cut back on Adwords Spend.

When this happens there is less to pay Adsense Publishers...

So all the posts and keyword targeting is not going to help with the fact there is less Ad dollars to be earned and far too many adsense publishers..

    ;)

May be google thinks that your site is a spam site thats why they are displaying low priced ads.

maybe try targetting your title with your keywords...look on the keyword tool and see how much they pay for your keywords...divide that number by about 10 and thats a rough estimate of your per click revenue...good luck!

5 cents per click in average consider low in sefl improvement niche. It can go to about $0.20 per click in average if you increase the ensity of the good pay keyword
