I am constantly seeing threads about how to get quality high PR links, so I thought I would help out a little. In case you didn't know, relevant high PR links are the best links you can get right now. In fact, I'm ranking websites by only using these types of links. And to be honest, I'll use supporting links such as PDFs, web 2.0s, and bookmarks just to dilute my anchor text and diversify my link profile. Anyway, I won't get into how I rank websites (yet), but I will show you some ways to get high-quality, relevant, PR links. 1. Buy expiring domains I highly recommend PR Powershot to find expiring domains with high PageRank. Because it's pretty saturated, you will have to be pretty strategic. If you're currently buying links and paying a monthly fee, then you are making a huge mistake. I have purchased expiring PR4 domains for about $25 total. If you're paying $20 a month for a link, you will be saving nearly $215 a year. The URL name does not really matter. All you have to do is theme the website around your niche and place a contextual link (or two) back to your site. What's great, is you can also leverage this same website for additional websites you may have. It's a win-win. 2. Find .edu or .gov links These links are beastly when you can find properties that aren't spammed to death. Look for link lists that are relevant to your niche. Simply email the owner and explain to them why you think your website would be a great addition. Use these search combinations: inurl:.edu helpful sites + keyword inurl:.edu keyword + resources inurl:.edu useful sites + keyword site:.edu keyword+ inurl:resources site:.edu keyword + inurl:links site: .edu "your niche" site: .edu "your niche" + "resources" site: .edu "your niche" + "links" site: .edu "your niche" + "other sites" 3. Testimonials Bought a product or service lately? Awesome, contact the site owner and see if he would like a testimonial. Vendors usually have high PageRank websites, and they will allow you to place a link back to your website. The best part is that these testimonials are usually on the homepage (where the majority of the link juice will be). 4. Fiverr.... Uh oh Believe it or not, with a lot of research and due diligence, you can find some really awesome relevant links on Fiverr. Make sure you research very, very, very well. Ask the publisher for details and most importantly find out if the target website is indexed because if it isn't, then it's useless. 5. Find Broken Links This is really awesome when you land these links. Use these search combinations to find relevant link lists: "keyword+resources" “keyword+links" "keyword inurl:links" "keyword+inurl:resources" "your niche" + "resource page" "your niche" + "resources" "your niche" + "recommended sites" "your niche" + "links" Once you find these high PR, relevant link lists you want to see if there are any broken links. If there isn't, you can still contact the site owners and state your case why you think your website should be listed. To see if the webpage has broke links just enter the URL into broken link check dot com. These are only a few of the many ways to get relevant, high PR links, but they are super effective. Much of your link building efforts should be focused on obtaining these links. I hope this was helpful and thanks for reading guys! - Gotch
I'm waiting pr update and off-course my blog pagerank increment since last 6 months, If Google not update pr algorithm next 2 month definetly will go with #1, either for making new blog and content or redirecting existing blog content to new domain. Sure
Waiting for the update is definitely a good idea. However, when I'm researching expired domains, I examine the link profile and make sure it's stable. If it is, then there is really no reason to worry about it losing PageRank. Majestic SEO and Ahrefs are lifesavers!
I'm just testing buying expired (not expiring) domains. I have some that have decent PR5 links pointing to them and hoping that after the PR update they will come back with a reasonable PR.
Awesome man. Those domains should definitely see a nice boost in PR if they have PR5 links point at them. Better yet, try to get those PR5 links directly hitting your website
Thanks for the great ways of building relevant links. When you are searching sites for link building in Google, put your keyword and select discussions or blogs, this way you would find relevant forums and blogs, I know it is not possible to get links from all the forums and blogs but you can find some forums and blogs where you can get relevant links.
