5 American Muslims detained in Pakistan facing deportation

.....The men have allegedly told investigators they tried to connect with al-Qaida-linked militant groups in Pakistan and were intending to cross the border into Afghanistan and fight U.S. troops there.
............a week ago after one of them left behind a farewell video showing scenes of war and casualties and saying Muslims must be defended.

Pakistani police detained them this week — along with one of their fathers — in Sargodha, a town in the eastern province of Punjab..............

Looks like Islam is very close to be a religion of fight and peace. The question is how good it is to those who follow it? Do they live better than the rest of the world? If they don't either the teaching is screwed up or the followers don't apply it accordingly.

It is no surprise for me that there are muslims from America who would go lengths to kill Americans in the name their God Allah.....but
If a religion justifies killings in the name of Allah, why just not make it illegal?
If they want to believe in God let them do it, but they should follow beliefs that are humane.

What is mosque? Isn't it a place a starting point and direction for possible future islamic militant training camp? Not for everyone of course, but surely for some.


(When the US constitution was made there very very few muslims in US, no that has to probably change. No religion that condones child marriage and violence should have place in this great country - US.)

 

What's your beef with Islam? Why should the US ban it? I can't recall the last time I heard an underage Muslim being forced to marry an older man in the US, and FYI that's illegal.
Leaving the US out of this, one reason I believe those atrocities are so common in Muslim countries is because they don't have separation of state from church, the church literally runs the state. If you remember when the catholic church used to run states in Europe, it wasn't any better than now.

 

To name a few reasons:
No other religion has so many terrorist organizations as Islam does! (This reason alone is enough to ban islam.)
No other religion treats women almost as personal property to men.

Islam is a religion of tooth for a tooth and eye for an eye and if the "believers in islam" ones find themselves victims they are encouraged by the religion islam to fight back. Thus ones a violence erupts it can go for decades.
Look at Afghanista, Pakistan, Somalia and so many other muslim countries or countries with muslims.
I know muslims and they say if two muslims families get in fight against each other the fight can go for decades!
This kind of thinking we do not consider lofty!

....To name what Islam is doing to the muslims in Islamic countries. Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia and etc Islamic countries they have islamic laws like: men cannot shake hands with women, in school women and men are separated, there are restaurants for men only and for women only, women have to dress up according to islamic codes or face lashes! ANIMALS IN JUNGLES LIVE BY BETTER RULES. That's why that ANTIDEMOCRATIC religion has no place in the civilized world.

We shake the hands of particular women, not all of them. And so is the case with women, but you don't know that.

In case of necessity or emergency, touching other sex is lawful.

The western teachers in our university admitted that it is more comfortable and help both the students and the teachers to focus on topics discussed in the class.

Well, I don't like my mother to be surrounded by men, so it is very good idea that you put a section for women.

It is not a problem that men and women eat together, but it is good that women find private areas for them.

Men have to dress up according to Islamic codes, too, or we should face lashes.

We all should wear polite clothes in public areas.



Why don't you follow Jesus christ, peace be upon him and his family, while reminding all people with: "love your enemy"????

If they are going to fight the military then what's the problem?

I only have problems with the Muslim fanatics who believe blowing up a tube ,bus or a plane full of innocents is legitimate.

 

Yeh, they fight the military while hiding behind civilians, then cry fowl about civilian casualties. Another technique tried and tested from the Hamas in Palestine. I think every "soldier" of allah who hides behind civilians should face war crimes charges carrying death as it's penalty. What do you think of that?

THE US GOVERNMENT IS NOT RUN BY CHRISTIAN VALUES Unlike the Islamic Countries.
I don't consider Bush and his gang that went in Iraq, Christians at all. They have committed a war crime (Even Obama acknowladges that it was a wrong war, what a wrong war is if not a criminal one?).

Every now and then a "fool" will take charge of any given country. May God give peace and prosperity to the Iraqis.

If you love so much your Islam do so, but I and many others consider it anti-democratic and it has no place in the west.

the five should be brought back and prosecuted for treason and or any other crimes that they have commited. they should also be studied to find out what caused them decided to do this.

Couldn't agree more. Now if the federal government could make sure that their right to a speedy trial is honored, I would say all we need to put a nice cherry on top is to bring back public execution. They wanted to be Martyrs, Grant them their wish. It would be a nice breath of sobriety for any other would be terrorists, FOB from wherever they came from. I couldn't care less if Al Queda used their executions as a recruiting tool. More recruits would equal more executions, bringing the mean level of intelligence in the gene pool up around the planet.

It depends on what you call support. I agree that their actions fall into the legal definition of treason, which carries the death sentence. If by support, you mean facilitated their meeting with terror groups in Pakistan, I agree. If by support you mean verbally encouraged them to take action, I don't think you could ever get a conviction, and I'm not for executing every nut job in our country, even though we have them by the boatload.
