This is really a quality site with quality traffic. I have dealt with spdude before in the purchase of a $60K+ site and was very happy with the support given afterwards.

Get the facts before you make your decision to buy. You can be sure that what spdude tells you is true and accurate in every sense.

For anyone with spare cash laying around, this would be a good buy. Not only will you get a good site, but am sure spdude will guide you every step of the way into site monetization.

    Cheers.

I think you should wait to put the auction in SP until Tuesday.

Good luck with the sale! It's a great site.

Thanks.. You're right about that, would have been better to wait a bit.

It's already created, so hopefully with the side bar listing people will see it even after the weekend is over.

When you say it averages $120 per day with Adsense is that just for the last week or two? Can you provide Jan and Feb adsense screenshots. I am curious to see if that $120 is averaged over a longer period of time than a week or two. I am very interested in this.

    Very nice site indeed spdude.

Would you do me the favour of answering the points below please? :-

    1. You mention G's Image restrictions re: alignment with ads.. doesn't your top google block on both your fireblade and your new crrxx site still run the rick of alignment issues? Be interested to know.
    2. What extras does the PREMIUM membership option include?
    3. I looked hard at your monthly revenue and I'm thinking now man if you can secure $75k sale from those relatively 'low-end' revenue stats (no offence at all) then, shoot, I'm gonna put my baby up for sale. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, did you value fb.org purely from asking 20xcurrent revenue and niche content? If you could break it down a little more in detail I'd be much obliged.

    Regards & all the best.

    Rich.

Well of course revenue in January and February was much lower. I already mentioned that the Google image policy caused a major drop in revenue.. it took two months of testing (including testing ypn for a few days), before ariving at the current ad integration method leading to the present revenue numbers, traffic was also increasing in the meantime.

In any case. BIN offer has been made at SitePoint. The bidder who has chosen to remain anonymous has requested Analytics stats. Will not be giving access to others, unless that deal falls through. I'll update this thread with the status of the deal, if anyhing changes.

    1. Firstly, I'm not the owner of the cbrxx site. It's a model specific forum created by Keith, the one who intially sold me FBo. Secondly, the ad integration on both sites is completely inline with Google's current policy regarding images next to ads. What they don't allow is "alignment".. i.e. four buddy icon size images aligned on the left side of the unit, where each image aligns with an ad from the ad unit.

    2. The premium memberships allows ad free browsing, and I think that's the reason why most active users end up signing up. They recieve a Supporting Member banner beneath their user name on the forum and a green user name. Other than that there are other things like increased PM storage and similar things.

    3. The valuation of the site is based on the things I mentioned in the opening post as well as further down in the thread. I believe I mentioned at least 8 factors which make this site worth over 2 years of current revenue.

That would be me, the previous owner of FBo and the current owner of CBRXX.com. ;)

The current ad layout has been given approval by the Google Adsense team, directly to me. Another alternative that is allowed, is using a small montage of 4 images in the same location as the single image is located now (Like HondaSwap.com uses on all of its pages other than the home page). Both of these layouts has Google's seal of approval.

Thanks for clarifying regarding the image policy. I'm sure many will appreciate that info, implement the method and see increased earnings on their own forums.

I can also verify that the image placement used on FB.org is okay, at least interpreting from the authorisation I got on Wolfmother.net.

Auction status on the Sitepoint thread changed to SOLD.

Have a 6.5 year old gaming site, 10k uniques daily.. extremely well designed, 1,270,000 SPAM-FREE posts, 700+ daily user activity, big-boards.com listed.. monetised through three sources with $200 income yesterday which is typical for a weekend, weekday's being slightly lower... occationally hits first page on digg.com.. long track record of earning over $3,000/month. If anyone wants further details on this before I create the sales thread, feel free to PM.

Before sending the PM please keep in mind that the asking price on the above mentioned site is a fully justified $85,000

Not trying to encourage bumps by pointless PM me requests, but at the same time, I'd like to keep this as a passing attempt at selling the site (which people don't remember), in case it doesn't go through.
