Congrats DP and Shawn. Ironically in another thread (about infractions) this very thing was brought up just a day or two ago; thousands of posts a day and Shawn said more like approaching 5,000 a day ... so now more like over 5,000 a day!
You forget to add : Worlds most honest peoples are here Don't count me, I was banned here once. (yes! my fault ).
when i saw the thread from index page " 5000 posts in a day", what came to my mind is some one made 5k posts in a day, i was totally shocked, though 5k posts a day is too good should reach more higher levels
DP has indeed become like one of the MOST WANTED webmaster forums. that is what brought me to this thread too Curisity, how could someone make 5000 posts
208 posts per hour? In a 24 hours consecutive period? You'd have to be on a serious binge to do that.
That would be 7 posts every 2 minutes. I don't think that's possible within the forum rules (you wouldn't have time to read the thread and put in a meaningful repsonse) unless you pre-prepare them and just had to paste. But even then it's tight. You'd need 1 post every 17 seconds. Only Yfs1 the postbot can pull that one off.
Yeah, maybe the bot can test it for us. But then again, you'll prolly have to resurrect a bunch of old threads, because no one else will be able to keep up (without you double posting)
If we get 5K new genuine posts then you wouldn't have to resurrect old threads to post 5K replies. The Spy would go bonkers... I hope we get our own 'Swarm' tool here, that would look crazy me thinks.
The only time I ever even came close to appoaching that was when the YART thread was in full swing and even then all of my posts were complete, well thougth out posts. Of course then Nintendo turned it into an official Post Padding thread .
grrr!!! That was da only way for Mella to understand what to do in the thread....post, post, and keep posting, hince da 'pad your post count'!!!
5,000+ of post is alot. I do wish some visitor would put some comment on my website( a good related comments.) but for what i can see in DP, or read, it is worth reading and learning here, and that is why most of the people in DP love here and posted more and more. Congratulation on that and eventhough i am not at DP often, but i do hear alot from my friends about what good and great about reading in DP.
Compair the numbers with SitePoint. DP would have much higher numbers if the boards and tools had been made way back when that pther place was made. For how long DP has been around, yes, they probably are the largest webmaster forums, aka has grown da fastest.
I knew absolutely nothing when I first came here, now I surprise myself when I realise how much I have learnt from this forum.
