I've been targeting teens for the past couple years but I'm not sure what I want to do now. I would like to make money off of adsense or cj.com. I'm tired of only getting 1-2 cents per click though with adsense so that's why I'm looking for something new. I'm not sure what I want brainstorming is getting me no where.
So your adult. Perfect. Ever think about getting into the domain business? Buy and sell domains with traffic. 5k is a start and you will at least have something that has some value. Adult sites are a dime a dozen. With legal problems on the rise with 2257. Anything Teen related will keep you out of marketing on google adwords program.
I think you may want to consider with a more of an affiliate focus. Maybe a product store or somthing that is very conducive to selling well with affiliate programs.
It is better to build the by yours & save the money for advertisement and purchasing links from paid directory or any affiliated site.
I personally prefere to build my website myself and market it using free methods like "article writing, forum discussion, ...etc.." Do not waste your money on pre-made websites...
I would recommend it the other way than most above - I would say either code it yourself or invest about $1000 on buying/development and spend the remaining $4000 on promotion/advertising spread over a couple of months. of course, this is a general response only and the exact would vary on the specifics of your site/nice. good luck in your venture
In general I wouldn't buy a site that sells for $4-5K because no sites with any real potential sell for that, usually just ordinary sites that are getting some traffic (or made to look like they do). If you can code I'd look through the premium sites for sale on Sitepoint and see what's REALLY working. I get lots of ideas just browsing there. Make something just a little bit unique and useful and it won't take nearly as much time, effort and $$$ to make highly profitable.
