4Ws - need advice on affilliate programs (which-why-who-when)

I have been reading the forums since last couple of months, and still I need some advice regarding the affiliate programs. Here are my stats

I have Webmaster related website with article, tutorials, downloads, forums and blogs, abd I gte about 3000-3500 unique visitors a day. Its all webmater related, now I am only using Adsense on it, and it makes an avergae of $15 a day, I was interested in affiliate marketing, I joined cj.com

I am still unsure which product to promote on site, so I thought using Adwords may be I will be lucky to promote some products, I selected a ouplf oe product, first was a software for "telephone calling" NO LUCK, I stpoped campaign, second I selected PALM phone in germany, spend about $30 on adwords wihout a sinlge INDICATION of sale so I am a bit confused, how this works for everyone, people make a XXXXX with commission and I canno make even a cent, I am wiling to spend $800-$1000 on adwords in the begining, but I dont know which product to promote...

can anyone suggestion me the good commissoin site t oget started with, I am at CJ, any other good for beginners like me ? and which product can help me have a atleast some commission so that I can believe it works

I know there are a lot of people who will never share their secrets, but I am looking for the people who are always willing to help (the real teachers) regardless of anything..

In general terms why don't you stick to very targeted stuff for webmasters? Software etc?

 

Thank for your reply Rob, but I forgot to mention, that I cannot tell the URL for some reason, but I think I have mentioned all otehr information wihch can help someone to reply..

one more thing is that I cannot register at clickbank becuase my country is not in the list.

CJ seems to be one of the top sites. I have not had much luck with it but I have not done a lot of advertising. It is hard to give much advice without checking out your site, but you should try to promote items related to your site.

 

BTW linkshare is another.

 

Try and understand your site demographics and what they would spend money on.

ok - here is the scenario..
what if I am only interested in advertising others' products/services on google adwords and overture, which products should I take for promotion ?, as I mentoined I can spend $800-$1000 in the begining for testing..

What is a product that your site demographic often spends money on online?

That's the product you should go after.

Webmasters however, are knowledgabel about affiliate marketing etc, so you will have quite a task. Good luck!

Susan - you forgot to put in your second tier affiliate link.

 

Silent, try to do 2 things: promote programs yourself since you know how to make websites (www.MoreNiched.Com) or you can review other affiliate programs and try to get them in your 2nd tier;
