It would make about as much sense to make a buying decision only on Adsense stats as it would to make it only on the Coop weight. Some people might consider the traffic too, the PageRank, the subject of the content, the fact that it has backlinks from sites like this. There's a lot to this site other than Adsense.

I was ready to bid until I checked the copyscape :(
But I guess this site would be very valuable for someone who only values it by its coop weight instead of originality. They can even duplicate and sell it every 3 months.
    good luck with the sale

That backlink is only PR3, and from what I can see, I can't see any forms on the site as the ABA site says-- making me think this is a stale link that will soon be removed-- and actually makes me wonder about all the other backlink's relevence...

    Overall:
o 89 backlinks is not that much
o 70 visitors a day is not that much(my startup sites get 1k+/day)
o The articles seem to be duplicated content from SEC sites, etc.
o The data is clunky(non-translated "[img" tags, etc.)
o $0.47/day on Adsense is not that much
o There is no other revenue source(right?)

Anyone that pays $250+ for it is crazy, IMO. I could probably justify $100-200 based on the indexed pages(for coop weight) and the PR. Good luck-- I'd jump on Fryman's offer quick.

LoL, Derek, you make me laugh, thanks for that. ;)

Yep, the links from the ABA site is on only a PR4 page, anyone wanting a link like that must be crazy. People'd also be crazy to want a backlink like this one. And, I'm pretty sure people would be lining up to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge if they had this Business.com listing. Yep, that'd be hard to live with. And, I can just hear the DigitalPoint Forum members running in horror at the thought of having thier site listed at Findlaw.com. Yep, anyone would be crazy to want any of that.

And yea, I'm sure these stale links aren't the reason that this site does well in Google. Yep, Google just hates those stale links like that. And yea, I'm sure the people at those sites I mentioned are just waiting with baited breath to remove the links. Because, I've only owned the site since 2003 (which you can verify by looking in archive.org to see when the design changed to the current one. I'm sure they've been waiting 2+ years to unleash their evil plan to take down those links. Yep, no other explanation but that, and that only a crazy person would own this site.

I'm sure all the crazy folks here at Digital Point's forum are very happy that they have your advice on this subject.

You never answered if the site is still relevent to the links. Where's the form software? If there isn't, those links may come down at any time, diminishing their potental value going forward.

I'm interested but would need to know more about the source of the articles. It was mentioned that someone was paid to put the content together, but where did the articles come from?

What worries me is that I don't see author credits or anything and I don't know how many copies of each article are out there.

I'm a bit confused at the fixation on the content. To me, the listings at findlaw.com, business.com, abanet.org and so on are far more important. My suggestion is that anyone who doesn't understand the value of those links and how to capitalize on them would be better off not considering this website.

So far everything you've said I agree with. However you lost me at...

It's very relevant IMO too. Who owns the rights and who authored it?

If I buy it and find it elsewhere, I want to be able to fill out the nine point google DCMA complaint and send it to the host, registra, and webmaster and protect the interests that you point out should close the sale.

Do you honestly think that you're going to get copyright ownership over thousands of original content articles for a few hundred dollars?

Why do you resort to insulting my intelligence instead of answering the f***'n question??? Where's the "Corporate counsel practice management software packages" that these sites are pointing to on this domain?
