4betandwin domain, Letter from lawyer!

    Recently I received this letter.

    letter: http://www.college-city.com/4_bet_and_win.jpg

    The domain is 4betandwin.com
    I take my site down and redirect it to sedo parking.

    Any suggestions?

    I think if you redirect it to sedo would be fine.

    How about contacting the lawyer? Seems like a no brainer to me.

    Find out what would be acceptable to them. If you want, tell him/her that you have taken down the site and see what he/she says.

    This is a great example of not using a trademarked name in your domain. If you were in a different industry, that would be one thing, but Bet and Win is pretty limited.

    They own the rights for "betandwin" but do they own it for "4betandwin"?

    4betandwin is a play off of their trademarked name in the same industry. Same thing as getting a domain like ebay1, 2ebay, ebayforums, blah blah blah.

    Perhaps if the domain was something like betandwinnow.com (since they are all English words).

    I have an offer of $30 to sell it.

    It’s about one month in sedo parking and I have made 4.07 euros.

    Do you think it’s worth selling it for only $30 ?
