About to purchase a site that has 49k indexed pages. Anyway just wanted to purchase purely for the weight, but not sure whether it wud be a risk as I've heard it cud just end up giving me zero weight. Not sure what to do really. Any suggestions would be excellent,
Making sure there are cached pages in google and not just supplemental results could be a good indicator. Age of site would also be important. You don't want a site that just got indexed yesterday.
Make sure RSS is not in the URL as the validater ignores result with rss in the url. Something i learnt after 3 month of trying to work out why my site wont get any weight.
I have one site with 'rss' as part of the domain name and it gets some weight, although not enough for a PR5 site and 1k+ indexed pages, only 300 or so, but since the PR5 is new I figured it's a datacenter flux
What's the difference between cached and supplemental results? If I type into Google site:mydomain.com I get xx,xxx results. But if I use the DP Backlink checker I only get x,xxx pages. As a result my weight is a bit low as I think that only the x,xxx pages are counting towards my weight. It has been like this for about 3 weeks. Other than continuing the process of building backlinks and content, is there anything I can do to increase the # pages that the backlink checker (and thus the coop ad network) sees?
supplemental results = the only sites Google hate more...are the ones that are banned!!! Then again I got a supplemental result site that has around 20K weight!!!
