48 hrs Easy poster contest winner gets $25 via paypal

Proteindude here again. I need something a little different this time which I think it is very easy to do.

I need to go to an expo and I will get a big poster printed which will be about 2000mm height and 1000mm in width once printed (2metres x1metre).

I need this poster to be:

Colours: red and white only (If you feel like you must use a third colour you can do so but I prefer mainly red and white) Use the same red as the logo.

Poster needs to have my logo (pr oteindirect.com.au) and the slogan which is: WORLD CLASS PROTEINS

Size: when printed (I will print it myself) the poster size will be 1 metre (width) by 2metre (height).

The poster needs to be clean looking and highly visible (easy to read).

There needs to be only two (2) things on my poster: my logo and my slogan (these 2 things need to be displayed at least one time on each horizontal line)

I need this poster to have either three or four squares, or circles, or anything else across looking almost like a chess board

In the first square I need the words: WORLD CLASS PROTEINS (I don't have a logo for my slogan so you can write the slogan: WORLD CLASS PROTEINS in your own style)

in the second square I need my logo which is pro oteindirect.com.au (remove the space) which you can download from here: http://senduit.com/f93699 (photoshop) or from here http://senduit.com/6a4764 (jpeg)

So basically place the logo and the square next to each other in separate squares, or separate circles, or separate whatever (use your imagination).

For example you can have on line 1 (horizontal): square 1 slogan / square 2 logo / square 3 slogan

Line 2 (horizontal): square 1 logo / square 2 slogan / square 3 logo

You don't have to use a square. You can use a circle, or an invisible square but I just need to have at least three images on each line or even four images (it's up to you). You can use whatever effects you want drop shadow, etc.

If you have any questions feel free to ask or just pm me. I find that having the logos and slogan appear lots of times on the poster looks better than a single logo and slogan.

You can add whatever effects you want but all I need is the two things above displayed.

This is what I'll do: in another 12 hours starting from now, if no one wants to enter this competition I will give you the contract. The time as stated now at the bottom of this screen is 2.00 am So by 2.00pm if there are no entries you can get the contract. Not sure where you are located but the payment will be by paypal.

 

how do you work on something that big? I dunno how to make a poster in photoshop that big. is it okay if we provide a smaller version of it? please specify - thanks

 

Ok, you can provide a smaller version and then I will just get my designer to "reproduce" your design (if you win and after I pay you) and turn it into something high rez. I am not a designer myself but I don't think the size of the poster would be such a big issue. But then again I see no problem since I am not a designer.

 

okay, okay I need more clarifications since you mention two different requirements, the first one says that you need 2 horizontal lines, and repeating logo's / slogans in squares, and the second one, in your first reply - it says you only need 2 things on your poster. So do you only want 1 slogan and 1 logo at the center of the page with designs around it, or a row of slogans / logos in boxes with designs around it?

Also, from a graphic designer's perspective - wouldn't the multiple logos and slogans seem repetitive?

 

Read the highlighted part and you got it. I DO WANT REPETITIVE looking. The reason being is if someone takes a picture near the poster I need the logo and slogan to appear in the picture taken, even if the picture only takes in part of the poster (as opposed to the whole poster).

I'm glad you brought up this point. Sometimes repetitiveness is a great thing. The row of slogans and logos doens't have to be in a straight line either. And you can use whatever designs you deem appropriate in between the logo or slogan. I hope I am not confusing you instead of clarifying things.

You got the idea. The only requirement would be to maybe have at least three images in a row as opposed to only two in your design. You can use your creative touch but I would like to end up with something professional looking.

Another example would be something like in the image below:

You will see the logo is very repetitive and separated by some different colour squares. I am not saying copy the one from the image/link above, I am just saying it's a good example of the idea I am trying to achieve (you will see the logo GMC appear very repetitive).

I just now realise I didn't address your question: you can use other shades of red, or whatever effects you think look good (mirror, drop shadow, etc).

 

Okay, this is what I'm going to attempt to do:

1. 3 boxes on top ( logo | slogan | logo )
2. 3 boxes at the bottom ( slogan | logo | slogan )
3. designs seperating each of the boxes
4. smaller scale ( since my monitor is only 19" ) 500mm x 250mm ( 1/4 of original size )
5. will inform you when done.

Your ideas sound great. I need to get some rest now as it's getting late down under. I will only be online for another few minutes. The clock at the bottom of this screen shows the time as: All times are GMT -8. The time now is 3:27 am I will only be back when it shows 2.30 pm or there about.

The only thing is to not end up with just two rows of the whole poster. But then again, if you only do two rows (two lines) I can have them copied again so there will be say 8 rows even though they will all be repetitive (same as the top 2 rows).

Sorry if I'm using too many words. That is because I am not a designer and don't want to waste people's time if I am not explaining myself properly.

Wow, very nice poster inTaYkE. proteindude, I think I'm going to quit on this one, simply because there is already something better than mine.
