48 hours - Large Unique Celebrity Fan Forum - 5200 members

I am selling Lisps.net because I am raising money for my new project at http://www.christianavenue.org. This project requires a continuous amount of time and money, so I am forced to let Lisps.net go.

This is how the site works:
Basically, Lisps.net provides several large fan sites free media hosting (music videos, etc). This is how it works. These fan sites register and apply for hosting for their media files. If they meet the requirements (requirement of 500 uniques/day, and other requirements), and are approved, then you create an FTP account with limited web space/bandwidth on a hosting account I have with dreamhost (hosting lasts till February. After that is $7.95/month for 20 GB Disk, 1 TB Transfer - VERY VERY Cheap especially with a very large company), and give the fan site owner the ftp account info. Then, the fan site owner posts a link to the uploaded file to their folder that is hosted on dreamhost on a private forum on lisps.net, and links to that forum from their fan site. Basically, anyone that wants to download the media file must go to the thread on lisps.net, register (registration required before viewing the thread), and click on the link in that thread to download the file.

Hi,

I have no clue on the revenue. Maybe around $20/month or so. It costs absolutly nothing to run the site, other than your own server hosting, which costs me nothing because I have a reseller.

I still don't understand how it works. I have read your explanation but it seems a bit vague and unclear?

You have already stated costs for you ($0) but how much would you estimate the costs of running the site (including marketing) for some one else?

I really cant undesrtand these kind of posts.

 

People on this forum generally tend to think the price of sites are based on this rational

10x monthly revenue for starting bid
15x monthly revenue for buy it now

I'm guessing that's why he posted this
