48 Hour Banner Contest - $50

I figured I'd separate my contests this time. This contest is for an animated banner. Details are below. I'll be posting another separate contest in a few minutes for a static banner.

My gaming website, http://www.warcraftmmorpg.com , needs a new top100 banner . This contest is for 48 hours and the winner will be paid $50 via Paypal.


REQS: (for the top 100 banner)

- Must be an animated banner
- Must be 468x60
- Must contain following text

* Great Rates
* Daily Forum and Game Events
* Friendly and Quick GMs
* Funserver, Mid-Rate and 1.12
* Custom Tier 7
* Custom Profession Vendors

- Must fit into the gaming sites theme (World of Warcraft)

Hi 5ynaptic, cool contest. I just want to ask if you want the same format as your old banner. I notice the old banner's file size is almost 1.5 mb. Usually an effective ad banner is confined within the 100 kb limit so it can load faster on viewer's browsers.

coolwanz, I definitely need a more optimized banner. I built it myself out of necessity and have no idea on how to make an animated banner smaller. I think the top100 site requires .gifs, but looking at the other banners there, they all seem to be .gifs as well. If possible keep it as a .gif, but make the file size much smaller?

 

Hi 5ynaptic, thanks for the reply. Yes, its very feasible and it is standard on animated gif banners to be optimized usually around 50-100 kb.

Edit: Also, colors are easily changed. The text would take a while to change. I hope you like it how it is!

 

ArsonistX - Nice Concept, love the animated text transitions. Colors are not good however, grey isn't quite eye-catching enough. Visit http://www.warcraftmmorpg.com for an idea on colors. amidezine, nice entry - much better then the static contest entry. A bit simple, but good work nonetheless.
