47K Impressions and only 6.00 WTF?

Can anyone please advise on what I can do to increase these earnings. For the month of May so far I have almost 2 million impressions and have made less then 300.00. Does that seem normal? I mean by reading all the threads here I think that is way too low. Any advice? The sites are in my sig. Thanks!

NOPE that doesn't seem normal to me because with that much page impressions someone can make over 50dollars easily. What is your site url?

He said the sites are on his signature.

Neptune, how about the CTR? Is it low? And perhaps it is because your sites are about "free" stuff. I don't think the advertisers will bid high on that "free" keyword.

Possibly bad integration of the ads. Is this a forum?

I agree that the keyword 'free' is one that many advertisers would bid less on (or even have on their exclusion list).

On the other hand, the 'every disease' site, being health related, ought to get decent price per click - except that it doesn't load when I try it.
If that site too has low ecpm, make sure you optimize, and perhaps change hosts.

    Neptune,
I've tried to view your sites a couple of times over the last few hours, and they seem to be down.

Go to CPM, you should be able to quadruple what you make now.

You should check your ad placement, and change the location of your ads.

    If you use CPM u will get 47000/1000 = 47x$1.5=$30.5 $30.5x30days = $915.

I would recommend affiliate programs rather than adsense on that type of site.

I don't know if anyone else gets this but....

The page was so slow to load I didn't even bother to wait, therefore it probably showed as yet another impression without a click, My guess is you are just losing your visitors before anyone sees the content = no clicks.

(or does the page load fast for everyone else?)

You also need to check what kind of content you are having on your site. How many people are using adwords for that type of products/services ?

Adsense is giving me almost 75% of my UK life expenses - I am sure if used properly, It can give you enough money.

These are my last 7 days stats (which are lower as previous weeks)

    186,558 5,252 2.82% US$3.01 US$562.58

I have one site with massive trafiic which has 10000s of pages and deals with Free Mobile Ringtones, Themes, Softwares etc etc - This gets almost 5 cent to 10 cent per click.

Another site which is related to gadgets and Technology news, that would always get over 20 cent per click.

One site which is related to Creditcards, mortgages, Loans and Insurances - It gets 50 cent to 2$ per click.

Bottomline is your what you are having on your site is the base towards your earnings.
