$45 logo contest for Verticular.com (a niche search engine site) - 7 Day -need ASAP!

Hi,

I need a logo for my upcoming search site called verticular.com

Specs:

1. The text can be either "Verticular" or "Verticular Search"
2. I will prefer logos in “green” + “blue” colors (over light background).
3. height must be within 100 pixels to fit the header, width is no problem
4. No cartoony logos please, must be professional, clean and readable.
5. The tagline would be “targeted search. relevant results”
6. A small graphic or icon accompanying the text, under, or over the text is fine.
7. Readability of text (i.e. name) is always a very high priority.

Notes:

1. The site is a search engine but targeted towards niche searching. The concept is similar to verticalsearch.com
2. The site will be mostly about search targeting to Employment, General Business Healthcare, Money, Software, etc.
3. After payment (paypal), I would prefer a vector/psd file if possible

All my contests have gone extremely well (see my iTrader) and I’ve been pretty impressed with so many talented people in this forum, so that’s why I decided to post it here again. I always leave feedback for every entry.

I need this logo ASAP and this contest will remain open for 7 Days. The winner gets $45. If I like more than one logo then I will definitely offer consolation prizes as well.

just an update but here are a few of my favorite logos:



now i don't want anything similar, but this is just to give you guys a general idea of what i'm seeking here. The main thing i'm noticing in all these logo design is that the text is always readable and clear. There is a small icon on left or top which is relevant to what the software/site does.

@daput73: like the nice clean look, but the design needs more work. i need the logo graphic to be somehow connected to the vertical search.. but thanks for the entry.

@Creations4You: Understandably a magnifying glass is the most common choice for a search site logo so I'm looking for something else. But nice try and thanks for participating.

@v5geoka: like the color scheme.. but the logo needs to have some significance to "search" or "vertical search" or "niche search". same of the next one. still like the nice clean look and colors you've used. thanks for the entries.

@men: i don't understand the concept behind the parrot. but thanks for participating.

@MohammadHaja: My favorite logo so far the arrows have a strong branding and love the font and color scheme. This is exactly what i'm talking about! very well done.. thanks

@cheesy: I forgot to add in the original specs but please do not use all caps (for readability issues). Also while I like the design it's taking too much space and making the text off focus. Still clean and professional but readability of the logo is a big priority for me. thanks

@mitcharr: love what you have done with the inverted A and V! I think it can use more branding. Generally I'm against all caps but i think this one is an exception. Definitely another favorite so far! thanks
