Good Morning Everyone, I'm new to the world of PPC and to the ClickBank market place. So here is what happened. I spent hours researching yesterday and finally found severa addwords and a niche which i thought would convert... Due to the last minute idea I was unable to use my own landing page, I had to revert to direct linking. My quality scores were high and most of my words were ranked #1. This may sound odd but I blame my affiliate offer lol. I've applied and am currently waiting to join several affiliate networks but had to use clickbank for this project. Is it just me or does click bank have a lot of crap products? I thought using the highest converting product would be a good match for my campaign. Any advice?
There's your problem. You don't throw up junk and expect it to convert. 90% of direct linking campaigns fail. And, if you don't know what you're doing, raise it to 99%. Take the time to make the landing page. Put up tracking so you know exactly what word, what day, exactly what time the sale converted. It's tons of work, but that's how you succeed in PPC. Anyway, since you're new to clickbank, how can you possibly judge what will convert and what doesn't? Test out 50 products with PPC, make sure you have a variety on gravity, % earned, etc. and then you can say you know what you're doing. You're bound to lose money at the start, unless you're the lucky few.
hey, thank you for the response. I didn't mean to bash click bank, i just feel as tho some of the products are lacking in the advertising department. im assuming thats where a landing page would be helpful. This was my first test and it has been a learning experience.. only cost me about $9. Thanks again for the response.
I just want to clarify something. A landing page is one with say a pre-sell on it , but you will have your affiliate link to the hard sell written by the maker/creator of the product. Is that what you mean by direct linking?
There will always be crap products on any network and there will be more if they are digital products. How can you expect a network to filter the questionable products out? This is where the research comes in and it is one of the largest parts of doing research when selling digital type products. Sometimes you know a product is good from talking to other marketers but sometimes the only way to tell is to buy a product and read it or test it! If it really that bad go for a refund. Using the highest converting product does not always work. Some of your highest converting also have a high refund rate. Buying a product and acquainting yourself with it and writing a keyword loaded review is the best way. Clickbank really does offer up some fantastic products!
Great answer. I use a landing page to capture names and email address. After they opt-in, they are sent to my sales page. Direct linking means to send someone to a sales page as soon as they click on an ad.
