42ads.com - anyone know of them?

I've been contacted by a representative of 42ads.com about one of their cleints buying ad space on some of my sites.

Their web site is rather spartan in terms of who they are/what they do. A google search threw up very little too.

Has anone on here any experience of using 42ads.com - like are they relaible?

I have heard of them but never used them. I guess you could always just write back and tell them that you might be interested but want to know all that is involved. If it seems fishy, you lost nothing but a few minutes of your time.

 

I've been in contact with 42ads.com after they approached me and had the same problem as you - hard to find reviews of their service online

I chatted to a guy there called David who nominated several of my sites he wanted to place ads on, paying a flat fee for 12 month placement. After some back and forth with email, it turned out they were gambling sites - I have no real problem with that - but they wanted a paragraph of their own text around the link. I wasn't happy with that, but maybe you would be. Initially they wanted it at the top of the page but came down to anywhere on the page.

Sharky - had exactly same as you. They wanted to advertise on five of my sites though amount of money they were wanting to pay to advertise was rather small. Didn't feel it was worth it.

I've advertised successfully with 42ads on two websites now and received payment without any trouble.

You will have to be willing to place more than a single-word text-link on your website though. Based on my experience, there text-ad is always a short sentence.

Also, thus far, it seems to be only casino related sites.

If you're fine with these things, then go for it. I wouldn't use them on all my sites, but it was a good fit for some and I've been happy thus far. I've had the ad on my site for 2 months and I've already been paid for 4 months.

 

yes took there time but the adverts and payment came thru. SO I have no issues with using them it was more I hadnt heard about them before?

 

We accepted a text link from 42ads on our travel blogs website and agreed a contract that meant they would pay us the total amount in 3 separate installments (every 4 months) - as seems to be their approach.

We received the first installment no problems, but the 2nd installment is evidently proving too much for them as they are reneging on the contract and not replying to any emails we send them.

Poor show. Avoid.

same problem here with Frederique.
Just one monthly payment sent, and then nothing. I'll contact their main sponsor and will show them this thread. Maybe that if we all do that, they'll stop working with those crooks.

I heard about them but never used their services, if i were you I would ask them for as much info as possible and also references always a good way to know if they are good with existing customers.

 

As for me, problem solved for the moment.
I'll keep you informed if anything happens.
