420 Character limit

    Dear DP,

    I haven't been on this forum for a long time now and came back just recently!

    I was surprised to see that PM messages are restricted to 420 characters! I agree that there should be some kind of limit but 420 is way too short. I was extremely annoyed trying to shorted my message to one of the members... Does anyone agree?

    I'd agree if that were the case, but there has never been a 420 character limit on PMs.

    Not pointless at all as you had a legitimate question that you felt needed to be asked. Perhaps you just need to check your settings?:)

    I didn't even know there was some limit on the size of the pm
    but I guess it has been implemented to make it look more like conversations
    like we used to have same limit on text messages (SMS) if you remember

    The limit is the same as it was under vBulletin... 10,000 characters per message.
