    I had another post before about this. I was 100 % sure that 404 and adsense where a NO GO AREA.
    I was dead wrong. :eek: I sent 1 page that i mention before here and asked if 404 pages was ok and the answer was no it is not by most people in the forum.
    The answer you get in most in other forums is also no it is not ok with 404 and adsense. I wrote 3 emails asking them is this website ok. They said yes and was very supprised. I sent them another email asking them are you sure about this and they said yes. And today i got the final answer.

    Hi Anders,

    Yes, ads on 404 pages are fine.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

    Time to go work, anyone have a good template for 404 pages ;)

    Why it shouldn't be? People could make millions of fake pages full of keywords and send traffic there just to generate revenue. I think it was good that they didn't allow it. I emailed them to ask them myself about it.

    I even remember I read somewhere on TOS that we mustn't put adsense on contact and thank you. If 404 is OK then everything else is OK.

    From the logic, if ppl got redirect to 404 pages and has nowhere to go, sure they will click on the ads, thus this will generate profit for Google, the main thing is PROFIT

    I got the same response too:

    I guess it's okay now...weird.

    ============

    I bet they're thinking: "wtf, why are we getting all these 404 ad support requests suddenly?" lol...

    This is good news I get tons of 404 requests. Doesnt there need to be some sort of content there to get decent ads though?

    I'm personally still against displaying ads on 404 pages...but I guess I'll do it in the future...maybe not quite yet. I don't get many 404 hits :)

    As i can see, it's reflected on your domains, maybe now they got some new features in ads serving algos, so good tho for mesothelioma domains.

    It used to be against the policies to add AdSense to a 404 page, but they removed it with a policies update a year or two ago.

    Um hope this isn't too dumb but are these "error" pages created deliberatley? If they are genuine errors how do you get ads on them?
