404 issue with my website in google webmaster tool..

    I own a travel website and in my website I use <li> tag to list few popular flights ,airline etc. some of them are hyper link with the link of the corresponding page while some of then are simple in text form . I saw that google start showing 404 for those which don't link with any page .
    Why it happen ..???

    Well a link that does not link to a page is a 404 error link.
