Hi. I keep getting 404 errors from google. For some reason and I dont know how but every link ends with "/url" so I guess that my wordpress creates duplicate of every post and page with "url at the end and google webmaster defines is as 404 and it is a 404 as that pages and posts dont exist.

So for example I create a post. That post url is mywebsite.com/category/postname

but on google webmaster i see 404 errors on every post or page and the url is like this
    mywebsite.com/category/postname/url

Does anyone know what is causing this "/url"?

here is a screenshot of google webmaster 404 report

    Thank you

check in permalinks, you might have defined /url somewhere
if not there, then check for .htaccess file, via cpanel

    it might be there somewhere

if its in htaccess, and you dont' know how to change it

delete the htaccess file, and change permalinks again, it should regenerate the file. ( if you dont' have other plugins like security/caching plugins etc enabled there)

I dont have any security/caching plugins except for yoast SEO. I changed the permalink to default so that htaccess can renew and than again changed it to custom %category%/%post%

Is there any way to restore the facebook shares counter as it moved back to 0 after changing the permalinks to default and back

“ERROR 404” are something I am rather more used to seeing than I’d like. What a 404 error means is that you’ve asked your poor PC for a page that simply is not available on the site you’re currently browsing.
It could be that there’s a link that’s broken or maybe even been entirely removed from the site. When the browser can’t find anything to give you, it’s only choice is to say “Sorry dude, I give up.” in the form of a 404 error code.

Kindly check for .htaccess file via FTP. You must edit 404 page redirect.

it will be in your setting you could have defined the /url in .htaccess section. always check the url when you post something.
