404 error after a 301 redirect

    Hi, i have just done a 301 redirect to my blog melvinblog.com... redirecting non www to www... So basically i put a .htaccess file on the public html and the root itself... However after doing it, I am getting a 404 error on every url of my blog except the main page... What should i do ?

    what does your .htaccess file look like and where are you forwarding to?
