4000 Page Views and no clicks?

    Hello,
we just started a new image / file sharing website a few days ago. The first day we got an amazing 5 clicks from 3000 Page views, but there was a problem with our current host so we had to switch to a VPS. Now that we are on the VPS 4000+ page views have been made today but still 0 clicks. I have tried to follow the positioning guidelines as much as I could to fit our site. Also when we first started I think we had our ads on Image only rather than Image and rich text. What could be the problem? is it some kind of click queue google problem or is image/text setup that ineffective?

Lastly we have had a total of 17,000 Page views but with only 11 clicks is that normal?
P.S I have earned about 10 cents of impressions from 4k PV so I think adsense is working properly?

May be file sharing sites doesn't earn a good amount from Adsense. If you think you will have high traffic may be you can try CPM.

But it was fine on the older "shared" hosting before I switched to VPS. I'm using the same ad placements / website that was on the other server.

Are your impressions still showing up in analytics?

Is there a chance the VPS is upto some shady business and switching your adsense ad code on the fly?

Can you check analytics in-page so you can see where your surfers are clicking and adjust accordingly

My website is an image sharing site mostly with very little text. Only the image title ( if it has one) is text. Could this be a problem for adsense? Is my account on the brink of Ban?

I have a couple of article directories which get around 500 views a day but between one and five clicks which amount to nothing really.

It all depends on what kind of site as well - If I had 500 visitors to a specific adsense niche site then I'd be quids in!

If there is no real text on the page Adsense can't find a keyword/topic to hook onto, that will mean you get bad ads showing, the ones that get 1 cent a click.
I run a site that shows mostly just images HERE, But I try to always have a few lines of text at the top of the page.
Adsense will find a keyword it likes and show ads as it sees fit. Best not to force this just let it happen naturally.

You should see if you can add some text to each page, maybe install some sort of page template that will have some text.

    Best of luck.

It could be a saturated niche which means reduced revenue per click

No you wont get a ban from google,, I think you said your earnings were 10 cents,, this is too small for Big G to be worried about.

Enter this in google search box and see how many pages are indexed.

    site:www.yourdomainname.com

If you have less texts in the pages chances are rare for quick indexing and surfers may not find your site easily.
