I suggest moving your ads around a bit. I personally found a square block ad to the left of content's first paragraph really helps. In my experience top and side banners are usually ignored.

In this case, it's not the matter of the EARNINGS. Sure probably his niche is a low-paying niche, but with ONLY 26 clicks per 4000 impressions, his current CTR obviously is very low, he could get AT LEAST 100 clicks from that kind of impressions. What he needs to do is find a way to increase his CTR, not find a new high-paying niche. ;)

You are not making very much with the amount of impressions. Try placing your ads and blending them in more.

Try using 336x280 or 250 x250 ad format and place it Between Post Title and its Content..

To improve your earnings, you need to increase your CTR.
    Using the right ad formats
Using the right colours for ads
Properly placing your ads for higher visibility
Getting highly relevant ads on your pages

    1. Track with custom channels to find out which Ad placements are working better.

    2. Check stats of users from where they are coming are from what are they looking for.

    3. Make sure your AdSense ads closely matching the content of your pages.

BTW If you post your URL here that will be good.
