Forums are always tuff to get a good CTR. But there are mods where you can place the code in between posts and it may help you out some. Also your meta tags are blank. I would highly recommend fixing those. <title></title> <META NAME="description" CONTENT=""> <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT=""> Wont help CTR but it will help get visitors.

728x90 Leaderboard after the first post, there are PHPBB mods to help you do this. Also look at incorporating a link unit somewhere around eye level, blended into the skin. Link units if used properly can work quite well on forums Play around with the placement & colours of your ads, assign them to channels so you can see which ones are getting the clicks. Note which ones get more clicks when you change a certain element etc. Members can also become "ad blind" so I would usually also change my colours around every few weeks or so.

Forum has very much impression since people click and read and reply and post and do the same thing every minute. my suggestion is same as above - make multi color ads to catch the eyes - allow public access (of course search engine can crawling information too.) usually 4000 impression on normal webpage can earn $10/day or more.
ah, and also, you cannot put adsense ads on password protected pages (you're doing this) .. its against the TOS
