Hi I own a site thats getting well over 4000 clicks per month and earning about $600+. The niche isn't a high paying one but there is loads of traffic. Personally I think the traffic is worth more as it's an entertainment niche. Has anyone here outgrown adsense and gone on to something else? I feel like using my own brain for once and trying to target some ads cpa or banner ads myself, any suggestions?
The ads are very click-able (around 4%), but recently the CTR% and revenue has dropped, I think this is ad blindness so I want to try something different. I don't know I guess I'm new to new forms of advertising.. I just stuck to adsense cos they are a responsible advertiser. Any suggestions would be appreciated.. BTW the site is a video site hosted on blogger... I know some video webmaster use stuff like CPA lead but I think that's bit unfair as the content is already available to view for nothing.
Have you tried putting only text ads inside of the actual blog post? It probably would help a ton. Usually text ads tend to be much more relevant and it blending in with the content would do your viewers a favor as well.
I didnt know that Entertainment niche can bring loads of CTR. But I do agree that entertainment niche is indeed getting loads of traffic. By the way is your blog about TV shows and stuff like that? Anyway how about doing some experiment with your ads. You can also try pop under ads if you like
I would stick with Adsense. You will have a lot of time in selling your own ads. Try text only ads as mentioned above.
Well i dont know what happened with me But my adsense a/c had 3000 page impression but only 2 clicks Plz suggest me a good way coz i really need it (
If I count well, it's 100,000 visitor per month, which makes RPM $6. That's not great, but not a disaster either. With such huge traffic, I would consider some CPA/affiliate promotion (if possible in your niche). You don't have to replace adsense (thus losing what you have), instead try to think out, how to put affiliate links directly into the text (if possible) Or think, whether you can create your own product (ebook, subscription etc.) In the terms of RPM, adsense is the worst monetization method (well ... there are even worse, I mean from those system that works). On the other hand, from all monetization methods, adsense is the easiest one (it's literally SET&GO). You have to work hard to make affiliate working and learn how to use it, but when you manage, the RPM is much higher. In terms of RPM, the "pyramide" goes this: own product / subscription (highest) affiliate / CPA private advertising adsense In terms of "easiness", it goes exactly opposite It's pretty hard to get a buck or two from affiliate, but once you learn it, you'll see the potential is much bigger. Finally, one advice: if appropriate, start building some opt-in list. With 100,000 people monthly even 0,1% conversion rate would mean you collect 100 emails per month (that's 1200 per year). Then look up some good sources (i can give you couple of them) to learn, how to monetize it. 100,000 per month is already good traffic, too good to rely on Adsense only. It's time to move forward
I have a website that got me 43000 clicks on June with only $2160 of revenue. I'm about to leave AdSense.
