First of all, let me apologize for my english, I live in Brazil so my native language is portuguese. The contents of the web site, etc, are also in portuguese (just cut'n'paste them on your designs). Company profile: We are a hotel for dogs with a lot of open space near nature, a playground with yard toys for dogs, swimming pool, etc. Also, a store selling products for pets and farm animals, and other related services such as vet care, therapies, etc. We are very serious about animal well-being and do not sell any live animals. Company logo: The company logo should be in all designs, it's also useful for you to look at it to get a "feel" of the company identity. It's available for download here: http://www.paraisoanimal.net/index2.html Donwload all the 4 files, remove the .jpg extension, open the file "Logo.part1.rar" with Winrar or 7zip and extract the files. They are in this format because our current hosting plan is just a domain placeholder and does not accept files over 500k, nor .rar files. All designs (website, pamphlet, etc) should have the same "feel" as the company logo: "playful", "happy", "alive". You can use green (similar to the grass in the logo) as a predominant color, maybe some orange too (similar to the hammock in the logo). Our main business is the hotel for dogs, so you can use images of dogs, paws etc, just don't overdo it. Contest Deliverables: Website: Design only, no code. Adobe Photoshop .PSD format, 2 files: "main/home page" and "inside page". Pamplhet: Corel Draw .cdr format or Adobe Illustrator .ai format, suitable for printing. You must supply the fonts and any other source materials used. You can use stock material, however, if you win the contest, 50% of the cost of the stock material will be deducted from your payment. This is a single contest including all the items above, there will be only one winner. The look and feel of the website, pamplhet, etc must be compatible among themselves. hmmm, well i guess am out then... would be nice to divide the prices since lots of designers here aren't packed to do all..others are good at web only, and some are best on business card designs and few can do prints... thanks for you reply, Jr
I understand... However, in the other hand, if different designers would do the website, business card, etc, we would have different fonts, variations in color, etc. That would generate inconsistencies in the visual identity of the business. Thank you for your interest and your suggestion
I just downloaded the logo using firefox, so it's there. For some reason, when I try to download it using Internet Explorer, it does not work. Anyone knows an alternative to host this logo? It's a 1,8mb file. In the meantime, try downloading it with Firefox (right click on each file and click "Save link as") or send me your e-mail address via PM and I will send you the logo via e-mail. Hi, yes it's still open. Unless someone nails it by the deadline, I'm probably going to have to split this contest in two separated contests: one for the web site and another for the rest. Anyway, people who enter this contest now will still be on the competition. Blending a picture of the hotel in the header/banner would probably look nice, however I don't have any good pictures right now because the building is not 100% ready yet.

Feedback: * Nice colors * The idea of the dogs on top of the main content is very good, they look great! * There should be an item in the main menu for each service offered, they should not be sub-items in a "services" item. * The different elements in the design don't seem to be well integrated among themselves, looks like a template web site with some content written/pasted on top of it (eg: the logo seems to be "flying" there). * It would probably be nice to have a header for the site, with the logo integrated in it and maybe images instead of text. * In the "content area" of the main page, there should be spaces for "highlites", like a picture and a little text about some of the services offered, specially the hotel, wich should be larger than the others, because it's our main business. * The background with the green field and the tree are nice, but the upper part (the sky) with the dove and the sun rays looks a bit too much like the "catholic" idea of heaven (after life).
