400 impressions earned $0.01 - is it good ?

I created a blog yesterday - i am new to blogs tooo apart from adsense...

Today when I see in my account for 400 impressions ( 0.01 eCpm) and no clicks for the day - shows $0.01 in my account...

I am not sure do they(google) really pay just for impressions ?

 

you will get little bits of money from Google for impressions

 

Actually what you want to do is find out the absolute UV for the day then take the money you earned divided by visitors. This will tell you how much you make per visitor. If its very low you would want to mess around with ad placement and the type of ad you run.

Its a little bit low so might need to get you ad placement in a better position. try to make some adjustments and move them around and see if there's any effect on your CTR. make your ads to be the STAR of the page.

Cant judge whether it is good or not since you get no click
And adsense actually pay for CPM but the CPM is very low

 

CPM stands for cost per thousand impressions and cpm ads generally pay you less than clicks. Analyze the reasons for not getting clicks. Didn't you place them in the right place? Check about the effectiveness of blending the ads with contents and about the quality of traffic. Organic traffic will get you more clicks when the ads are placed in right positions than that from social bookmarking sites.

 

That's normal for many adsense beginners.

 

If you created a blog yesterday, there is no way on earth you got 400 impressions!!! Those must be from you visiting your own site

 

lol emperor - it's not impossible, if they were to advertise the same day or get a link on a well trafficked site. Take a look at some sites on digg that are like 2-3 days old get on the frontpage and boom like 10000+ visitors the first day or two online. It's not something you should expect, but it does happen.

 

Wow, you get 400 impressions with a one-day age blog, that's a great job!

 

mmm it is rare, look at your log traffic stats and check out where you get the traffic..

I dont know how to find howmany ip's are there...

 

you have been paid by a share of CPM ads from google. its a small amout yet its free. so its good.
