    I have registered on 40 free dofollow blog hosting sites, now my question is this:

    How much more valuable is it to post a unqiue article on all 40 blogs compared to 1 article the same to all 40 blogs.

    I am doing this to get link juice and increase my search engine ranking so please comment in terms of the SEO boost it will give me.

    for ur help just not to post same article to 40 websites, try to post unique articles on your blog on daily basis and you will be there, I have done this strategy and my 2 month old blog has now PR3. I am posting 2,3 or 4 articles on daily basis and getting traffic on them.
