    Hi!

I am looking for a cool "save the date" design for my wedding next summer.
Just something we could display on a website home page and also send via email.

Our idea: have a cartoon-like map of Europe with small funny characters or monuments for London (where we live), Paris (where we lived before, where all our friends are) and Moscow (where our families come from) + dashed strokes or arrows with little planes/cars/trains coming from these three places towards a little heart located in Vevey, Switzerland, where our wedding will take place. (Maybe Switzerland and the Geneva lake should somehow stand out as the "center of Europe" where we will all meet next summer)

General design should be fun, a bit "cartoonesque" and not too serious/formal, a bit like this picture that we liked a lot (but with map of Europe and Switzerland in the middle):

    the text should say:

    SAVE THE DATE
    Macha&Micha
    13 July 2014
    Vevey, Switzerland
    formal invitation to follow

Text could be anywhere on the picture and doesn't need to be all together. For instance "SAVE THE DATE" could be on the top on a flying banner or something like that.

Also little additional idea we had is to have Macha&Micha all in on colour, except the "a", "&" and "i" that could be another colour to play around how our names are actually similar.

Our wedding colours are pastel blue and peach (see below), they would need to appear but don't need

Here is also a file with some additional pictures we liked and potential templates that could be a source of inspiration:

Finally, this is just the first thing we need to our wedding (ideally this week), but we then look to work more with a winning designer on other designs (formal invitations, RSVPs, "thank you" notes etc.), which will be bigger assignments obviously.

    Thanks you very much!

    Micha
