Contest $40 Travel Logo Contest - Need An Awesome Logo

I have just bought the domain RenegadeTravels.com that I'll use to document by travels around the world.

So I'm looking for an awesome design that sums up what the website is about. I'd like some kind of image that signifies travel and also the website name. There should also be a tagline of "Unconventional Travel For Unconventional People". The final version should be a high quality vectored logo. But post your samples as jpg, so I can see them. I'll pass on your final design to my web designer.

I'd also like a second design that includes the above, but also includes the following next to it, so it can be used in bigger spaces (maybe the header). This will also help explain the blog properly.

The design should be fairly minimalist, with perhaps two colors, but go with whatever works best. I want to avoid rainbow-type colored designs.

The logo represent the Earth in the shape of a comment bubble (to represent a blog/website) and a plane in the middle of it to represent traveling.

Interesting. Renegade is spelled incorrectly though. Can you put TRAVELS under RENEGADE to make it shorter?

 

I'm not offering travelling, but am going travelling myself. I will visit 20-40 countries in next 2-3 years, staying a few days to a few months in each one. I'll be travelling by various means - plane, train, road. Minimal or no boat travel.

lovemylogo - not the style I'm looking for. I prefer a more modern and minimalist font, similar to what sLiMsHaDys did. Also, the image doesn't reflect travel to me.

avpredalien - nice, but don't think the font is quite right. Also I don't want just a plane, as it suggests I'll be flying everywhere. I'll be travelling around various countries and am trying to get that across in the logo. This looks more suited to an airline company I think.

Can you also try some logos that aren't so long. Many seem to be just copying the first person who submitted. I'd like to see some different choice instead of lots of similar variations.

 

I like the font and the text layout, but a different image might be better. Looks good though.

Maybe an outline of a backpacker or a globe/plane.
