    Hi Digital Point artists,

I have a forum website where the logo has started to look a little aged. I need you to take the logo and give it a refresh. I'm not asking for something completely brand new -- I would like to retain the current design structurally, but want to see what you can do to give it a newer, fresher look that makes it look better. I do want the same basic colors used.

    Site URI: http://tinyurl.com/7xsxvws
    Artwork File: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1100416/artwork.psd

    Terms:
-All submissions must show your design fitting in the same spot on the website as the current design. This is very important. I need to see how it will look on the site, not how the image just looks on its own.
-I will not accept any entries via PM. This is a public contest and therefore should be public.
-I will pay $40 via PayPal.
-Artwork must be delivered in layered PSD (similar to original artwork file).
-I reserve the right to cancel this auction if I find none of the entries to be suitable.
    -I will provide constant feedback.
-Do not write out the site's URL in this thread (would like to prevent Google from indexing this).
-The contest will run until the end of Sunday, July 8th, but may extend beyond that (for lack of entries) or end before that (due to sufficient number of entries).
-The rights to all content that I pay for will belong to me exclusively. Artist will retain no rights of any type whatsoever for the work that I purchase.
-I can provide previous positive feedback (eBay) upon request.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions please let me know! :D

Thanks for being brave enough to deliver the first entry!

I think not giving honest feedback would be a waste of your time and talents so I do want to be completely upfront with you about the entry.

-I really do not like the font choices.
-I don't see any change really to the drawing at all.
-You ignored the part where I stated that I need to see it on the website rather than floating on its own.

Thank you for submitting but it's just not in the direction that I want to go.

Sorry nicholas for the ambiguity. What I'm trying to do is having a newer, Web2.0 kind of look where the image does not seem as flat or static. Maybe by having it have a little depth or some glossiness, just something that makes it pop out more than it currently does. I hope that helps somewhat?

    Thanks for entering Pixobox! :)

    -The colors seem too dark
-I like how you're redesigning the avatars but I'm not sure I like the initial version you've came up with as better than the current look. The bodies part seem to be the part I dislike. The way you did the heads is kinda cool...
-The text is good but I think I want the secondary line to be in lower case

    Thanks!

    Nicholas, thanks for the entry.

-I like what you did with the avatar heads, giving it a more glossy look
-I don't like how the bodies look, but I see the look you're trying to give it. Maybe polish it up a little more, the red might be too much on the red body
-Really don't like the font you chose and the gloss doesn't look glossy, just looks like less opacity on a part of it.
-Please show your image on the actual page, exactly how it would look if I was to choose your design today and upload it to my site. (You may include a water mark of course).

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the entry puttu.

-The font and all caps of the title doesn't work for me.
-The change to the avatars is more drastic than I would like.

-I like what you did with the bodies, but can you make them look less "fat" haha.
-The red avatar's head seems way too red. I want more of a wheatish/light tan complexion rather than red.
-The red color of the text still seems too dark and I'm wanting the text to look less flat and dull. Do something to the text that makes it pop out more (glossiness, or some depth maybe? I'm not a designer so I don't know what's the best way to achieve the look).

But overall, looking good and moving in the right direction.
