It's not your work is what i'm saying, Those icons are not for commercial use. So if you sell it, You're in trouble.
Good, And don't worry, I used to use premade designs too. And now I'm skilled enough to create my own, Just keep practicing and you'll get good.
@flare97 The phone icon was created by someone else whom I paid to get the right to use this. I have the whole psd file plus receipt proof that I paid and can use it. So please stop assuming that I stole it or took it without permission. Its true I only joined DP this month but that doesn't mean I'm new in the designing area.
Is the winner going to be announced soon? This wouldn't be the first time you've had "problems with people".
I requested mirage5 to send me proof that he has the right to the image. If he is unable to provide the proof, I will go with another.
Once again I'm pissed off very much, He used artwork that WASN'T EVEN HIS! HE DID NOT MAKE IT! I SPENT 2 HOURS MAKING AN EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY LOGO AND DON'T GET ANYTHING? I don't think you get that the clipart he used is not meant for commercial use, And it's very unprofessional. You call yourself a designer, mirage? People that actually design their stuff are designers, Not someone that goes online, Buys clipart, Slaps on some text and calls it theirs. That's just insulting, I feel like i wasted two hours of my life for nothing. Tell me why i shouldn't be mad! I don't care if you think I'm being immature, This has happened three times. Where i spend alot of time on a logo entry and lose to someone that used clipart.
Flare97, I understand your concern but he did provide me with proof and did in fact said the logo is usable for commercial use. To be honest, I would have gone with your design without a doubt but this was not up to me, this was what makes my client happy. His submission was touching for some reason .. maybe personal? Idk.. Once I do understand your concern but you have to understand this was a content. Best of luck next time!
Here are the facts on "paid" stock ... There is NO site which sells pre-made stock that allows it to be used in Logo's. http://www.shutterstock.com/licensing.mhtml Pretty much _every_ pay for stock art is exactly the same. mirage should know better to go out and buy stock to create logo's with. Since now you are unable to copyright your own logo that you just paid for... and in fact you don't even own the rights to it. So if the creator comes along and finds your site with this "paid for stock" he'll be able to take down your site, and sue you. You'll be paying a lot more than 40.00......Then what are you going to do.... blame the *cough* designer?
