$40 Logo / Header Contest

This should be pretty easy . . .

THE NAME OF THE SITE IS:
Indiana Barrister

I am switching the site over to wordpress and need a new logo and website header. I am going to use this theme (with different pictures):

I need a header and logo for the top of the site, right above the pictures on the template.

This is a political site based in Indianapolis and Indiana. I need it to reflect that. Indiana colors are blue, and I maybe want some white, red and yellow in there as well. The theme background is kind of a dark blue per the above link to the theme. Do a google search for Indiana flag, Indianapolis flag, and/or come up with anything else you want.

I would like a cool logo but political looking, kind of web 2.0, and would prefer to have a vector version so I can use the logo for print. I'll need a logo file and a header file to work with the wordpress template.

I would like all submissions to be posted in this thread. Please post all questions here as well. Thanks in advance.

CHSajid: Thanks for your efforts. I'm not crazy about the rounded look of the font, and the "logo" on the left is not working for me with all the red stars. With the font used it looks more "cartooney" than political. It doesn't have to incorporate the Indiana / Indianapolis flags if it's hard to make it look good. I do like the blue background design. Thanks again.

I did edit the post to reflect yellow could also be used per the state flags, but again it doesn't have to incorporate the flags directly.

To help you and others out, I don't want the header to include a flag. I kinda like your IB logo, but not that much for anyone else to base their logo on the same.

I also don't want it to be that colorful. I am looking for a simple, but cool and kinda 2.0 (with reflection maybe) logo that is a classy political type logo.

zenweezil: nice job and more of what I'm looking for. Very classy. I think I like the 4th version the best, but white text with grey "effects" may look better.

shibligd: Very unique design, I really like it. The only thing I don't like is the font for "Barrister". Can you use the same font for "Indiana" and use the same yellow color? I'd also like to see "Barrister" in white to see which one works better. Also, you misspelled "Barrister" - it's Ba not Be.
Lastly, is it wide enough for the wordpress template?

neilparnham: Great looking header, but unfortunately it is a little too corporate looking for my tastes. I may have another site I could use the background for, with a different logo / font, and will get with you after the contest is over.

shibligd: Thanks for the quick revisions. I really like the all white text and you are currently in the lead. I notice there is a small vertical white-ish line in between the "t" and "e" of "Barrister", but I'm sure that can be fixed if you are the final winner.

I'll leave the contest open until tomorrow to see if anyone else has any ideas.

I'm still waiting for other designs. I was hoping to get more than 4 submissions for a $40 contest . . .

 

BTW, I've learned that the header needs to be 900 pixels wide to work with the theme if anyone else is interested in the competition.
