$40 Logo Design Contest for Consulting Services Website - Paypal Cash in 48 Hours

Looking for an attractive, professional logo for a construction consulting website. Logo should extend horizontally, and the text should read: "MC2 Manning Construction Consulting" (without quotes). The phone number should be placed directly underneath the text, like this:

Would like the logo to have at least 2 colors. I was thinking possibly silver or white colors for the text. Website is based on the Metric Theme, which can be seen here. Website colors are blue, grey, and green. It may be helpful to include a construction related image (i.e. house, hammer), but this is not a requirement. I do NOT want the text to be bright green. If you include green in your logo, please make sure it is subtle (i.e. grass, or small lines).

48 Hour Contest - Deadline is Sunday, Jan 8th at 3pm EST. Payment will be made through Paypal. I reserve the right not to dub a winner. If a suitable design is not submitted, I will probably extend the contest until I find a winner. Any questions, please let me know.

Thanks to everyone who submitted designs. I am extending the contest for another day or so, until I find a winner. Feedback is below...

jhaye - I really like your logo. The gray color is attractive and I like the gear image. If I were choosing a vertical logo, you would be my favorite. Unfortunately, I need a horizontal logo. Please see what I mean here: http://i39.tinypic.com/161b0ue.gif Do you see all the empty space to the right of the logo? I need the logo to extend more horizontally, across the page. To do so, please make the "MC2" part smaller, and position it to the left of the business name. This should create a more horizontal logo.

dede_24 - I like this. However, the 3 words in the business name are crammed together. Please add spacing between the 3 words. I'd also like to see the color of the business name changed to the same gray color that "jhaye" used in his design.

kainraziall - I love the house image (and colors on house), but I don't like the circular line. Also, the logo needs to extend horizontally across the website (not vertically). Please see the link above to understand the problem w/ vertical logos. The business name should be larger than the "MC2" nickname. Please reduce the size of "MC2" - and place "MC2" and house image to the left of the text. This will create a more horizontal logo.

mitcharr - Nice design; however it needs to be horizontal, not vertical. Also, the website background is the same blue color that you've used for the letter "M," and the number "2." Unfortunately, blue text on a matching blue background won't be very readable. Also, I'd like to see the letter "C" look more like a "C" -- rather than an "O."

sm_danish - Thanks for the many designs you submitted. Please remove the vertical line that's located between "MC2" and the business name.

jokomamamita - Nice use of color, and quite creative. Unfortunately, the "M" and "C" are not easily readable. At first, I thought the blue "M" was a mountain, but then I realized it was part of the design of a house. Could you soften the bright green color a bit - and rework the MC2 part. I'd also be interested in seeing the text for "Manning Construction..." in gray -- the same gray color that "jhaye" used in his design.

logoesdesign - I like the gray shadowy "MC2" colors. However, I would prefer that the MC2 part (along with house) be reduced somewhat in size. The focus point should be the business name & phone number. Could you use a different font for the business name & phone -- so that they have more height? Also, please change the harsh black color to something softer. Maybe a warm, neutral brown/clay color (earth toned).

Feedback for Everyone -
(A) Logo should extend horizontally, not vertically. Can extend up to 440 pixels in length. Folks who have done a good job creating horizontal logos include: dede_24, logoesdesign, jokomamamita, Vince, and sm_danish.
(B) The "MC2" part should be the smallest. The name of business & phone number should be the largest part of logo.
(C) If it's easier, you can add "Call Us:" in front of the phone # to make the line length longer. This is not necessary - but if it looks better, feel free to use it.
