$40 Logo Contest

Hi,

I'm starting a holding company called Maugans Corp.

I'd like a very clean, professional logo for it.

If possible, please make a few different variations, one saying "Maugans", one saying "Maugans Corp", and one saying "Maugans Corporation".

The most important factor here is that is has to be very professional.

It's a holding company.

It's basically a company that owns a bunch of different companies and websites. Maugans Corp itself does not offer any products directly, but owns other companies and websites that offer products. Make sense?

And I don't have a website setup yet, so I don't have any color preferences.

Depends. I was thinking just very professional text, but if the icon is done right, it might work well with it. Don't spend too much time on the icon though, as I really do prefer just professional text (with maybe some kind of decoration or some way of making the text unique).

I'll create the actual logo (probably to the left), but I wanted to see how you like the text style first. Feedback please.

 

Tip: A memorable Icon is very important in a company, e.g. a website is more likely to be visited again by the same person if they have something which is easy to remember.

The concept:

From my understanding of a holdings company the immediate thought associations are investment, money, growth, expansion...

I've used this idea in creating the icon... the open-ended pointers indicate limitless possibilities, expansion, increase...

I've provided 3 font options... all extremely distinctive and sophisticated...

As for the colors... I've designed 3 options... 1. A slightly conservative blue - the safe bet, 2. A light orange - orange is the fashionable pink equivalent of the corporate world... 3. An aggressive red tone - I highly recommend this... after all you're in the business of buying and selling companies!

Triangle behind signifies a super set ....... & small light blue circles signify holdings ....... so dark blue triangle is MAUGANS CORP which is holding small small shares of other companies (i.e. light blue circles) .........
