Good day, I want a logo made for a guesthouse and day spa called "Rose Red". Here is their initial/original logo: http://screencast.com/t/YTgwYzlhOT As you can see, it isn't very professional and doesn't symbolize an identity as it should. Requirements/preferences/suggestions are... It needs a red rose in the logo like the current logo but please find a red rose vector or I will purchase one if you need it from istockphoto.com. I created a lightbox already. See it here: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_search.php?action=file&lightboxID=8396554&removeCache=1 . You don't have to use those but you could cause I think they are suitable. Then just an elegant font which says "Rose Red" and maybe "Guesthouse & Day Spa" in the logo somewhere if you feel it fits but it is not necessary to add "Guesthouse & Day Spa" if you think it doesn't work. Keep it simple and elegant, please. The rose should preferrably be to the left witht he "Rose Red" elegant text to the right but feel free to use your creativity and initiative to create something which looks professional, simple and elegant. That's about it. Its pretty straightforward instructions from my side. I look forward to seeing some mockups and examples before I choose a winner to make some final changes/touches. I'll require a PSD (Photoshop) file as a result but if you can provide AI (Adobe Illustrator) it will be even better. Included should be rendered a JPG, PNG and GIF from the source as well, please. The winner will be paid $40 via PayPal immediately upon completion. Happy competing and I'm very excited!
@ideosmil Wow, that really is elegant. I like it! I'll keep the contest open, waiting for more entries. Which vector did you use btw? Can you give me the link on Istock?
@ tribulant the first concept are all in vector format. There's no stock photos use. In this version I use this photo http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/8559596/2/istockphoto_8559596-isolated-dark-red-rose.jpg
Awesome, they all look good. The first one with the 2 roses is the best choice so far. The 3rd one is also good but the client prefers the actual red rose in there.
@good designer, Great, thank you for your great samples. I like them but I don't like the fonts you are using or the different colors that much.
@Illidan_000 Thank you, that's good. It looks quite nice but it doesn't seem elegant enough, yet. I'd prefer a more elegant font and as for the rose, the one with the green stem doesn't seem to work. The rose bud with the view from the top seems like the best go.
@ideosmil, Awesome, as each and every one has been. I still like the first one the most and it looks very good. Is it possible to see what it would look like... 1. If the 2 roses to the left were a bit bigger. Not too big, just a little more noticeable. 2. To play with other fonts and see if there is some other elegant, corsiva type of fonts that work? Thank you everyone, I'm still waiting for more entries but these have been AMAZING so far!
@EVERYONE, I don't want to make a bad suggestion but in case you wonder what font I'm looking for it would probably be a calligraphy script font like these: http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=601 . They tend to give an elegant feel to the logo.
